Hello! I’m Vanesa Daza. I received the Bachelors’ degree in Mathematics from the University of Barcelona, in 1999 and the Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from the Technical University of Catalonia, in 2004. After a brief period working for a crypto-based security company as a Senior Researcher, I joined Rovira i Virgili University, first as a Juan de la Cierva post-doc and later as a tenure-track lecturer. In September 2008, I joined the Department of Information and Communication Technologies at Pompeu Fabra University as a tenure-track lecturer. Since December 2008, I’m also the Head of Studies of the Telematics degree. I have authored more than 30 papers published in international journals and conference proceedings. I am the holder of two international patents. Currently, my research interests are mainly related to distributed cryptography and its applications in sensor networks.
