Technical engineer in Telecomunications, specialization in sound and image (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Terrassa, 2007). Master in Sound and Music Computing (Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, 2010). Currently I am a PhD candidate in the Music Technology Group (MTG) of Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

My research interests (and the topic of my thesis) are around the creative potential that virtual communities of users can have through online sites such as Freesound (a huge audio clip sharing site). Currently I am researching about how to properly describe Freesound content in order to improve its accessibility and future reuse in musically creative contexts. For this purpose I'm focusing on the modeling of the different communities of users in Freesound and on the analysis and extraction of their knowledge to improve sound sample descriptions. Moreover, I'm also involved in the development of Freesound.
